It’s literally impossible for grad school psychology programs to thoroughly cover all possible topics within our field & each does their best to educate future clinicians on core content while the rest of our learning typically occurs on the job.
Three areas that appear to be consistently under-represented are OCD, ERP & Autism - both diagnoses as separate conditions, as well as their common co-ocurrence.
I am more than happy to share the knowledge & expertise I’ve gathered in the last decade+ with any institutes of higher learning so that those suffering from this highly debilitating disorder can be more accurately diagnosed & treated as quickly as possible.

In working with my colleagues & in my own experience, OCD was rarely, if ever, brought up for more than a brief mention. Sometimes the evidence-based treatment, Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), gets a mention, sometimes not. Both OCD & ERP are highly specialized & really require a more nuanced understanding in order to diagnose & practice. If you would like to have me join or lead a class lecture, please reach out!
